The knowledge our drivers have acquired over many years enables us to get you to and from major sport, entertainment and leisure venues whilst avoiding major traffic hold ups and car park congestion.

We have young children who need either child seats or booster seats - can they travel?
The legislation does not insist on children in taxis using child or booster seats, however you may, if you wish, use your own seats in our taxis. If required we will safely store them until your return journey.

We get held up in Customs for a long time?
We won't abandon you! Make sure you have our number on your mobile so you can let us know what is happening. In these circumstances you may incur waiting time charges.

We have a lot of luggage?
Obviously suitcase sizes vary. The normal 'rule of thumb' is one suitcase plus one item of hand luggage per passenger. We can accommodate more luggage if less than six people travel together.

We wish to pick up travelling companions en route to the airport?
As long as you tell us when you enquire about our service the price we quote will reflect your requirements.

We don't need to travel ourselves but must get a really urgent package delivered?
No problem. You should be aware that although our charge for a priority service will almost certainly be higher than a courier firm would charge your package will get our personal service, guaranteeing a safe and speedy delivery. 

We can’t give you anything like 12 hours notice?
There can be no guarantees for really short notice journeys but ConnectionCabsDerby will always make that extra effort to accommodate your needs. We value your custom and wish to turn all enquiries into satisfied repeat customers.

We have a companion who prefers to travel in their wheelchair?
Our vehicles are easily adapted in moments with side entry ramps for wheelchair users although this will reduce the total number of passengers we are able to carry. The type of wheelchair may also reduce luggage carrying capacity. Please discuss your special needs when you ask for a quote. Providing a comfortable and safe journey for all is our passion at ConnectionCabsDerby.

We get asked if we can go to all sorts of places. The answer is simple - yes - and you will always receive a 'fair price' quote from ConnectionCabsDerby.

There are, of course, a number of destinations that are more regularly requested than others. Midland’s airports, both for outward journeys and for meeting incoming flights, and the main leisure venues in Derbyshire and surrounding counties appear high on the list.

We prefer at least 12 hours notice, but if you have an urgent journey give us a call - we will always do our best to oblige.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Debit Cards - subject to a £10 minimum fare and a 10% card surcharge.

The price we quote will include normal waiting time and parking charges at airports and congestion charges if incurred.

We track arrival times of flights to ensure we are at the airport when you need us.

Please note that at our busiest periods we may very occasionally have to ask one of our colleagues to assist us. Where a change has been necessary we will send you an SMS text message or email providing you with details of the new driver. As you would expect the new driver will always take the necessary steps to seek you out.

ConnectionCabsDerby was set up by experienced Derby Hackney Carriage drivers Mark Blurton and Mario Colella.

Mark and Mario have almost fifty years experience driving taxis in Derby. They both hold Derby City Council Hackney Carriage Licences, Enhanced CRB Certificates and have recently completed the newly introduced Level 2 B TEC Award in Transporting Passengers By Taxi and Level 2 NVQ in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving.

Both Mark and Mario have extensive knowledge of the layout of all the major airports, sporting and event venues and are able to advise on projected journey times allowing for local traffic conditions.
